Cambridge City Council is on the lookout for a Chief Finance Officer who'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization. This position is about leading the financial charge, providing top-notch advice, and driving innovation while ensuring value for every penny spent.

Your role involves overseeing various financial aspects, such as managing over £160 million worth of commercial assets, more than £780 million in affordable housing assets, and a hefty treasury management investment of over £100 million. You'll also be in charge of a substantial £200 million 5-year capital program and overseeing the management of approximately £150 million in total usable reserves.
As the S.151 Officer, you'll be responsible for financial governance and ensuring robust processes and systems are in place to deliver top-notch services to our residents. Leading critical financial and technical services, you'll need to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational finesse.
