Role Overview
We're seeking a Finance Manager to lead our Financial Management Team (FMT) on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The team comprises four qualified management accountants and two part-qualified assistants responsible for financial and management reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities
As a Finance Manager, you'll manage the team's day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to various stakeholders. Your role focuses on improving report value and creating user-friendly reports, emphasizing staff management and meeting strict deadlines.
Additionally, you'll establish robust financial systems, ensuring legal and professional compliance while providing top-notch accounting support across the organization. You'll also play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the department's long-term IT and reporting goals.
Qualifications and Skills
We seek a professional Accountant with a CCAB qualification and post-qualification experience in financial and management accounting in a large organization. Strong staff management, leadership skills, system knowledge, change management experience, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this demanding role.
