Join Us as a Senior IT Technician at Surrey County Council
Starting salary: £34,356 per annum for a 36-hour work week. At Surrey County Council, our User Experience team caters to a diverse clientele with varying IT needs. We ensure quick, tailored support for all customers, irrespective of their IT proficiency. Our goal? To deliver top-notch service regardless of where our customers work—home, office, or any flexible workspace.
As a Senior Technician, you provide remote and face-to-face support in our office setting five days a week. You'll receive a laptop, mobile phone, and access to a work vehicle to facilitate your tasks. Effective communication in plain English is key as you manage your workload and update customers on their Service Requests using their preferred contact mode.

Collaboration with colleagues is crucial as you collectively strive to meet team targets while ensuring every staff member has functional IT equipment. Beyond your routine workload, you'll also engage in projects, aiding in planning and execution within agreed timescales.
Qualifications
We're seeking candidates with solid hardware and software skills, encompassing device re-imaging, troubleshooting, repairs, and updates. Familiarity with ITIL processes and maintaining detailed Service Request notes visible to customers and colleagues is essential. A full UK driving license and three years of relevant experience are also required.
