Employer: Church of England
Location: Remote working
Salary: £51,122 per annum
Closing Date: 6 December 2023
The Church of England is supported by the National Church Institutions (NCIs), national administrative bodies collaborating to enhance the mission and ministry of the Church. Their roles span managing substantial investment funds, overseeing a grant-giving charity, providing housing services for retired clergy, and administering multiple pension schemes.
Voluntary income in the Church of England exceeds £800 million annually, covering 75% of parish ministry costs. The National Giving Strategy 2020-2024, backed by an investment of over £7.5 million, aims to foster generosity within churches. Giving ranks among the top 5 priorities for the Archbishops' Council, with continuous investments in strategies and teams dedicated to promoting giving.
The National Giving Team collaborates with Dioceses, focusing on sustaining growth in annual voluntary income. This involves investing in national resources, adopting emerging technologies, and exploring alternative funding streams and income generation initiatives.
